On June 8, the Azerbaijan State Children’s Philharmonic hosted the musical and poetic concert “A Visit to a Fairy Tale,” bringing together young musicians, reciters, teachers, parents, and art enthusiasts.
The concert was organized by Gunel Hajiyeva, laureate of international and national competitions, jazz and pop vocal performer, piano teacher at the 11-Year Music School No. 35 named after Georgy Sharoiev, and Lala Hasanova, educator, head of the literary projects “Modern Poems” and “Gənc Şairlər,” and a member of the Writers’ Union of Azerbaijan and the World Organization of Writers (WOW).
The program featured 35 talented children. The stage included solo piano and vocal performances, vocal ensemble pieces, piano duets, poetry recitations, and theatrical sketches.
The concert opened with welcoming speeches by teachers Lala Hasanova and Gunel Hajiyeva, who expressed sincere gratitude to the director of the Azerbaijan State Children’s Philharmonic, Saida Taghizade, for her support of the project, as well as to the parents and all guests of the evening.
Particular interest from the audience was drawn to theatrical performances and musical numbers inspired by well-known and beloved cartoons. The young performers appeared on stage in colorful costumes of fairy-tale and animated characters, creating a truly festive and magical atmosphere. Through their creative transformation, the participants turned the concert into not only a musical and poetic event but also a vivid theatrical performance that left a strong impression on the audience.
The program included children from the literary project “Gənc Şairlər”: Maryam Babaeva, Tamilla Ahmedova, Fatima Huseyn, Ayan Amiraslanli, Esmer Ibadova, Gevhar Alekperova, Aila Alekperova, Banu Gorchieva, Emilia Mammadova, Nariman Erzimanov, Alisa Tishkevich, Jennet Mammadova, Fatima Kerimli, Aziza Mammadova, Umut Gulizade, Elmira Asadova, Khadija Nagieva, Imran Shikhiev, Emilia Gasymova, Narmin Allahverdiyeva, Liya Gulizade, Svetlana Shevchenko, Yasmine Dayanova, Fateh Mammadov, Ibrahim Alimzade and Irada Hasilova. Students of Gunel Hajiyeva also participated: Aila Ahmedova, Ayhan Babaev, Gunyash Shahmammadli, Aylin Mustafazade, Ugur Mustafazade, Gular Allahverdiyeva, Amiral Zeynalov, and Reina Huseynova.
The aim of the project is to develop children’s creative potential and promote musical and literary arts among the younger generation. It is important to note that the project is implemented on a charitable basis.
At the end of the event, all participating children were awarded certificates of appreciation for their active participation in the concert program.
