Baku Metro recorded more than 16 million passenger journeys in October 2026.
According to "innews media", a total of 556,424 passengers used the “Khojasan” and “Avtovagzal” stations, where entry is free of charge. This represents a 64% increase compared with September.
“Koroğlu” was the busiest station during the month, serving 1,683,032 passengers.
October 20 was the busiest day, with 641,442 people using the metro system.
Digital payments also increased. A total of 8,879,685 transactions were made using NFC and QR-code tickets, marking a 15.9% rise compared with September.
NFC payments accounted for 43.3% of all paid passenger journeys in October.
Meanwhile, 113 passengers used the “Accessible Metro” service during the month.
