Elmir Hajizade, a fifth-year Information Security student at Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS), has been accepted to ten prestigious universities in the United States and Europe.
Among the universities he was admitted to are:
- Carnegie Mellon University - Information Security and Information Security Policy and Management programs
- Imperial College London - Security and Sustainability: Science and Technology Programme
- Columbia University - Artificial Intelligence Program
- University of Chicago - Public Policy Program
- University of Bristol and University of Birmingham - Cybersecurity programs
- Stockholm University - Information Security Program
- A joint program on “Innovations in the Public Sector and E-Government” delivered by KU Leuven, the University of Münster, and Tallinn University of Technology
During his academic years, Elmir Hajizade achieved numerous accomplishments:
He was awarded the Cybersecurity Scholarship from bp and Prosol companies, as well as the Technest Scholarship from the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport.
Elmir was invited to present a research paper on cyber incident management at the International Astronautical Congress. The team he led won the "Best Presentation" award at the TEKNOFEST 2025.
He represented Azerbaijan in the “Huawei Seeds for the Future” program, and the team he captained was awarded “The Most Active Team” award.
Elmir represented our country at the International Youth Meeting in Munich (Germany) and was selected as the sole global recipient of the Mannheimer Scholarship.
He took part in the MIT Policy Hackathon, where he presented cybersecurity policy solutions focused on protecting children in digital environments.
Elmir received a certificate in “Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation in Government” from the University of Oxford.
Google selected him as one of the founders of the Google Developer Student Club at BHOS.
Elmir has been actively engaged in the field of cybersecurity and completed an internship at the State Service for Special Communication and Information Security of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
He currently works as a cybersecurity specialist at Cyber On.
