The next meetings of the Transport Research Committee and the Transport Management Board of the International Transport Forum (ITF) were held in Paris.
During the events, the significance of the priorities set by Azerbaijan under its ITF chairmanship was emphasized. Member countries positively acknowledged Azerbaijan’s efforts to strengthen dialogue on global transport policy, enhance international transport links, and promote sustainable transport systems.
The meetings also addressed the organization’s work program, strategic priorities for the upcoming period, and key directions for the development of global transport policy. In addition, the program and preparatory matters for the ITF Summit, to be held under Azerbaijan’s chairmanship in Leipzig, Germany, on May 6–8, were highlighted.
It should be noted that the annual Summit is considered the largest platform for transport ministers and sector leaders. This year, the event will focus on the theme of “Financing Sustainable Transport.”
